About Us
The Education Department at Franklin Memorial Hospital is located in the Ben Franklin Center. We are one of 4 AHEC sites in the state of Maine. We provide many services for employees, such as continuing education. This includes CPR, ACLS, PALS, NRP and other programs. Collaboration with physicians to provide Cardiology Grand Rounds, Good Morning CMEs, Tumor Board, and the Adult Medicine Series on a regular basis keeps our physicians and other healthcare professionals current in the profession. Computer-based learning within a variety of healthcare topics is also available for employees, and we maintain current transcripts of all our employee programs.
The Education Department also provides many community services, such as CPR and First Aid courses for the general public and sponsorship of major healthcare-related conferences at the Ben Franklin Center. In addition, the Education Department collaborates with Maine colleges to offer on-site clinical experiences and courses for health care professions at Franklin Memorial Hospital.
